To clear the skies, Hillary Clinton didn't pay me to do this and I am not in any way affiliated to her campaign team. Actually, I wish I am.
The actual elections is still a year away. But as early as last year, the presidential hopefuls have made their intentions of running known to the American voting population. So, as an involved citizen, I have closely followed their campaign.
Ok, say that I am a woman that's why I'm for Hillary Clinton. But the gender issue is really out of the question. I see in her the change that this country needs.
Being a former first lady makes her REALLY aware of how American politics works. She was put into one of the ultimate tests of her life when the Bill-Monica affair surfaced. Surely, she knew by heart even before her husband and that time the most powerful man in the world told her in that fateful morning in their bed at the white house that he slept with his secretary. But she braved through the situation and stuck with her husband which in my POV is because she knows he needs him, and a person's main motivation to go on life is for the simple yet profound reason that he or she is needed.
My admiration for Hillary Clinton elevated during the latest democratic debate held at the University of Las Vegas. To my perception, she stood out of the rest of the hopefuls. She firmly said that she is not being criticized because she's a woman, but because she is winning. Whoa..that hit home.
She has consistently led the polls, except for the recent Iowa poll where Barrack came first. But then, it's not only Iowa who will be picking the democratic nominee. You can see in her THE passion. It's like she breathes to be the president of the home of the brave. Some analysts thought that Hillary Clinton will be the underdog because she's the only woman in the race, but she triumphed to the top and now EVERY hopeful, republican or democrat, wants to dish the dirt out of her. Well, there were futile attempts, but she ends up turning the incriminating issues to her advantage. Remember, she was criticized for her cleavage during a speaking engagement just last month. To me, that seemed sexist. I mean, would they attack a male candidate if they caught a glimpse of his chest hair? I doubt.
In the end, Hillary Clinton knows that this country needs her. Just like her husband needed her. Hillary Clinton knows what to say and what to do. You can see in her actions and in her words her passion. Throw the first stone at me if I'm wrong to say that of ALL the candidates, she has been the fish in the bowl that is not only the most watched but the most starved. In other words, she has been the most criticized. And if one is being deprived of anything, he or she, or in this case, she, will do whatever it takes to get what she deserves. And lucky for Hillary Clinton, she knows what she deserves. I say lucky because most people spend a lifetime not knowing what they truly deserve.
